I have a 2002 GL1800 and when I push the hazard switch in, it won't come out. I've taken it apart and can't figure out why it doesn't return. Now my Reverse switch is going crazy. After i use it, it won't come back out unless I play with it for 5 minutes. Does anybody else have problems with those swithces?

Read this thread. It applies to hazard, mute, reverse, and cruise switches.

Seems to happen more often in cold weather, and I suspect moisture is getting inside the switch and freezing and preventing the locking rod from operating smoothly. Sometimes a hair dryer on low helps as a temporary fix.

If you really want to fix it right, you have to take it apart, clean it, and re-lube with dielectric grease.

I have a full photo gallery of it here:
