I have a friend that lost a low beam headlight and he asked me to change both of them. I can find a tone of videos for gen1 but his bike is a 2016 gen 2. Are they the same to change ?

Yes! The high beams are more of a challenge because there's no pocket on the right side.

While you are in there replace both low beams. If one went out the other is not far behind.
