Hard time connecting

Ok, cause I just bought a 2004 GL1800 and I am having a hard time plugging in a chord from my old GL1500, so I though it might be different, any idea why is so hard to connect?

Yep, same plug! I have no idea why you are having a problem. If it fit the 1500 it will fit the 1800.

Good Luck.......

plug fit

I had the same problem. I cut the rubber from the end of the bike plug with a box cutter. Of course the weather cap no longer is of any use.

Plug Fit -- Hard Time Connecting

Some of us that have been married for a long, long, long...... long, long time can give you the answer but it would have to be on another board I am afraid.

not sure exactly what your problem is but I took a hair dryer and heated the plastic boot and stretched it a little so now it slips over-together easilly. Also used electrical tape to hold the end cap in a permanent position so it doesn't get caught in the fairing pocket door and makes connecting the two cords together in the dark much easier. wish I had a digital camera.
