Hi Everyone!

Just ordered new Arai Full Face Helmets from a vendor who fitted us at the Atlanta Cycle World Show.

Anybody out there have any helpful hints on a good clean "do it yourself" headset installation? I read somewhere about backing the speakers with some sort of clay to impove the sound. However can't recall any of the details? I already have the headsets, they are in our old helmets.

Thanks, L.

Some have used foam to get the speakers position properly, I just used some Crayola "Model Magic" modeling clay from my local crafts store. This stuff starts soft, but eventually hardens.

I wrapped a bit in Saran Wrap (so it didn't stick to the cushions) and stuffed it into the earhole opening. I then stuck my speakers in place and then tested them for positioning. Once I got them where I wanted, I let them harden. I used a small piece of double-stick tape to hold the earpieces in place on the foam insert.

They can be easily taken out for cleaning of the cushions and replaced exactly where they were.

I hope this helps, good luck in your installation.
