Has anyone figured out how to override the system on the 06 so that the heated grips and seat work in any temperature? I just got back from the Canadian Rockies and it was in the low fourties and raining and the grips and seat didn't work! I was told that the ambient temp needed to be lower in order for them to work, boy is that stupid!

Something is wrong!
I used mine yesterday in the rain. The temp was in the low 6o's. Both the seat and grips worked fine. Did you not get any heat at all or was it just not hot enough for you?

Ditto on something being wrong. My wife and i were out riding the other eve in about 60 degree temps and turned them on just to try them. They heated up just fine.

Mine works great!!!... When I remember to plug the connector back together after I've had the seat off :roll:

Last month I tried just the heated hand grips in 95*F temps, they worked and I turned them off after about a minute. Haven't tried the heated seat yet, my tail sweats enough in these air temps.

Hey is there a way to turn heated seats into cooling seats? No beads, been there done that.

We have heated seats in our HUMMER nd they definately get toasty. So much that you WILL turn them down after a while but on the Goldwing they dont seem to get that hot, even close to that hot. The grips will get nice and toasty, and I havent had them above 3 yet but the seats dont even seem to get hot, just a bit warm...
