For me it is much more than which one heats the best -- the grip also has to fit my hand properly as most of the time the heater is not on.FUSE said:I don't think anyone has been able to say with any facts to which one works better. I had the Honda Heated Grips. Fantastic.
One thing that leads me to believe the Honda Heated Grips work better are that I've seen on this board many times that folks will say that the ones that are not Honda only work good till about 30 degree's or so then they like to have Gerbings or some other heated glove. But there have been a couple folks with the Honda grips (myself included) that say the Honda grips were all they needed down into the teens, with no need to use heated gloves. I've ridden into the teens with just the grips, never going above 80% on and never felt the need for heated gloves.
I have to imagine having the heating element actually inside the grips themselves, instead of under, that the HONDA works better.
I believe though the only way to really prove which heats better is to have one of those laser temp. readers, and a couple bikes next to each other each with a different type of heated grip and then do tests.
