I rode my new 2008 wing two days ago when it was cold. When I turned the heated grips on they both worked but the right grip was noticeably warmer than the left. Is this common? I will be taking the bike in to the dealer for the 600 mile check so I guess I can tell them about it but information here seems very reliable.

Thanks,

Ken

I though the same thing when I installed my EC grip heaters until I realized my left hand is much more actively off the grip with all the clutch work. Your right stays gripped around the throttle, and tighter. Your left, more relaxed and fingers moving in and out working the clutch letting air between your fingers/hand and the grip.

The right grip is on a plastic sleeve for the throttle, the left grip is on a metal handle bar.
