The holder is on the left side at the junction of the grab rail and the seat. The release is in the left side bag at the top near the center on the outside edge.

I see that little pop-out when I pull the lever back that's in the saddle bag.

the 2018 helmet hanger is kind of a PIA to use. I'd get a gun lock or some other short cable lock and call it a day. There are also bar-end solutions, but I just use a cable lock.

I wish Honda would just put the old helmet hangers back under the rear trunk. It isn't all that hard to do.

 

So do I, it was a stupid move on Honda's part to abandon the system used on the old model. The current system is just plain stupid...I'm still hoping that you come thru with the kit you hinted at to convert our bikes to like you have with yours

 

Fred, didn’t you mention that a well known company was in the process of making a kit like yours?

 

Yes, I think they are still working on it. The real trick is to cutting the slots in the panel perfectly. I think that will be the most difficult part.

 

Fred, what’s the story with those helmet hangers? Is that a kit you sell? If so, what are the particulars? Thanks.
