It's worth a shot, my helmet can get pretty ripe in a couple days. I just tore the lining out last night to clean it. I have two helmets to switch back and forth. I think I'll give it a shot, leave a couple sheets in the bike for multiple day trips if it works.

Dishwasher works great . Instead of soap you can use helmet cleaner and no dry . Makes it smell new again. The water looked nasty and removed all bugs parts LOL

We had to use Scope mouthwash to get the smell of skunk out of the head fur of our Golden Retreiver. Tomato juice did not do the trick

Scope should work for a helmet too.

The guy on the Revzilla videos says to remove the cheek pads and submerge the helmet in clean water and let it dry in an outdoor breeze.

Prevention by using a Slik helmet liner goes a long way. Not perfect, but it sure makes for longer between stinky lids, and almost totally eliminates helmet itch for me! The wife likes that it reduces helmet hair. Wonder if Flo uses a Slik?
