Hi All, I was wondering if it is possible to have both the honda 6 stacker CD Player and the Honpdsdr in line so you can select either one or the other.
Thanks for any reply's

It's not. The OEM radio does not have a way to select between the 2. Both will be on and trying to interface themselves with the radio.

Actually I have to disagree with Lewis on this one that iPod unit is factory addressed as CD2 the OEM CD changer is CD1 you flip between them by toggling the CD button it even comes with a Y cable.

If you check the later versions of the CD changer instructions it addresses how to change the assignments it appears there is 6 options so theoretically you could have 6 devices.

I have run that iPod unit along with our V1 MP3 I see no reason the OEM CD would not work the same way

Our new iPod unit uses the same method to switch between iPod and AUX input it has 2 addresses in one unit
Pete,

I had read the installation instructions on one I installed early on and they stated that if you had a CD player it had to be disconnected. The "Y" cable was for vehicles with NAV so you would not lose the navigation functions. If the later versions had a change, I wasn't aware of the ability to have a CD1 and a CD2.

Yes I actually discovered it worked before I read how I guess I need to try programming the OEM box to CD2 and connecting a V3 player
Thanks All

Thankyou both for your prompt replys. I will give the Y connector a go next time I have the seat of. The other idea I had was some kind of rotary switch that had numerous connections, so again switch one or the other. Although when I think about it a bit more, why would you want to if you already had a mp3 player attached. What was I thinking:shrug:

Thanks again, scoozy
