I'm wiring my permanent Heat Troller up to the bike. I was Going to wire it to my Fuse block(Centrech AP2) on a switched circuit but Mike from Heat Troller said to hook it directly to the battery ( I was asking about putting in a quick disconnect on the power side to allow me to take the top shelter off). I don't see any reason why I can't use a switched fused supply but maybe there is some thing I don't get . I used the same set up on my VTX without problems but I did not have a permanent controller.

I have mine wired to a fuse black and then to the battery. I don't like a bunch of wires connected to my battery and besides I like the idea that everything is fused with the right type of fuse. I bought a sea something or other and it works great. I can plug in 6 different accessories and keep that off the battery so to speak.

I would think that if you have a 10 amp fuse going to your application for your heated stuff everything should be fine.

I think the reason your heated guy was saying straight to the battery, he was maybe thinking that you would not use his inline fuse adapter. That would be my guess.

Thats my feeling exactly. You might be right that he was thinking I would run it w/o a fuse I'll add up the amps possible and make sure I have it covered

My heattrollers are wired via a relay with hitachi connectors under the shelter so I can pull the shelter with messing with the power jacks. Works just fine. In fact I just ordered another heated grip heattroller which will be used to control the heat my new seat.... :yes1:

my controllers are wired next to the radio and the jacks will be in the vent area I blocking them off with color matched plates. I'll be using quick disconnects so that I can lift the shelter off like you
