As I was changing out the rear tire on my 09 today, there was a hose hanging down from the left side. It looks like it has a metal tube inside of it and was rubbing on the tire. Anyone know what this hose is and where it goes? I'm not too sure if it was rubbed in half or not.

It's a drain hose for the black plastic box that houses the stereo amplifier.

Route it over to the left side, mine goes over the sub-frame due to Tow-Pac Kit, but you can also tie-wrap it. Main function is to allow water to drain from amp box.

Correct, drain for amp box. My '07 routes over the left saddle bag support (between the tubing and the bag). No need to loosen anything, just slide it through, can't remember if there is a notch for it or just the gap created by the rubber bag mounts.

There is no notch in the saddle bag or sub-frame. Use the wear pattern on the hose as your guide to its routing. Plus, see how it wants to bend towards that way?
