I finally got my Hot Grips installed while the bike was apart for the frame weld. I looked at the $2 switch that came with the grips and knew it wouldn't do - really not up to the quality of the rest of the components. So, I found a neat switch from Action Electonics http://www.action-electronics.com/gcswrot.htm#Marine. A bit pricey ($10), but waterproof, hi-amp, indicator light, and good looking. I later found that EC has one very similar http://www.electricalconnection.com/power-distribution/switch_high-amp.htm (and I would rather buy from EC!). I put it in the right panel and wired it for the hi-off-low operation. THe nice thing is that when on hi, I get a bright indicator light, and when on low, the indicator light is dim - a visual confirmation for the switch setting. I think this switch looks much more at home on the wing (almost factory) than the chrome toggle that came in the kit. And it could be used for any accessory. Here's some picts...

and in operation...

Thanks for the tip! I'm going to try it. But, what do you need heated grips for down there in Tallahassee? :D (See temp bar below for the reason for my Hot Grips.)

Man, that is JUST what I was looking for!!!
I searched around when I was doing my install (should have checked E/C!!) but ran out of time and went with the factory switch for my Dual-Star grip wraps.

Here is where I mounted the toggle switch for mine. Was an out of the way location that wasn't too hard to reach.
