I stripped the top of one of the phillips head screws on the saddlebag door. How do you remove those things? I was thinking of just replacing the door and not the whole bag but the bag is looking better all the time.
I assume to remove the door you unscrew the four screws holding the hinge on the bike.

Thanks

Much easier to replace the lid than the whole unit. Four allen head hinge bolts, screw that holds the wire and the one that holds the support rod and it is off. About 10 minutes.

To remove the whole bag remove
seat
left & right side cover
rear fender
trunk molding
lower trunk cover
trunk opener cover

Disconnect bag opener cable and sub-wire harness

Remove 4 bolts that hold the bag

Got the door off. The molding under the taillight will not come off. I removed the two phillips screws but the front will not budge. Is it snapped in or is there another screw somewhere. I am almost done with this repair. Just the molding now.

Thanks
