How Is The Sidecase Cover Removed?

234 Views 3 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Michael Hazz
My 2021 ‘Wing fell over while parked. That resulted in some scratches to the right sidecase. I’d like to remove it and take to a shop for repainting.

Does anyone know how the sidecase cover is removed?

Thanks.

You will need to remove the screw that holds the lanyard strap so the bag can lay flat. There is also a strut that needs to be taken off the post, a flat tip screwdriver will make this easier. There will be 3 screws that hole the 3 pins in place. Remove each screw for each pin and use a pair of needle nose pliers to pull the pin out. An extra set of hands makes it a little easier.

For the cost of repainting, KDCycles on Ebay can probably sell you BOTH side cases removed from a trike.
