I am at 12,900 on my original tires in 8 months and my front is cuppling pretty bad. My back is still good. I will try and get 15 out of the front. Also the Avon 70 series tire. Is it wider than the 60 series or what.
Dangerous to try and get any amount of miles out of a worn motorcycle tire!

2003 - GL1800 Lehman Monarch II Trike installed! Went through the original front tire @ approximately 11,500 Installed a new tire same as original tire & it was shot at about 23,000. I put a BRIDGESTONE, BATTLAX, BT45R, 130/70 18 M/C on the front (REAR TIRE ONLY) It has right @ 31,900 miles on it. I keep the pressure @ 42 PSI. Don't know for sure but I imagine since you don't lean a Trike it may have this type of wear but I sure am not complaining.

It has only been balance twice, once when I first installed it and again when I put the chrome front wheel on @ about 32,000

There is your Problem Fred..You can't imagine...Don't get me wrong.
You are thinking incorrectly on this..I and so many many other guys who have actually tried this concept out find otherwise to what you are thinking.

Where do you get the idea that the CT profile is "Squared"?? Are the tires on you vehicles square?? They aren't on my cars or Yukon?

Here is my Pirelli.I don't see square!!

I can do what ever I want with my bike one handed with confidence..
But you feel free to continue in your way of thinking and we will still smile each and every time we read what just isn't the truth..

The thing here is everyday the numbers are growing to this idea..It's not just a handful anymore,But guys who ride bikes other than the Goldwing are doing it too.

Keeping ones head buried in the sand may work for some, but not everyone! 👍
I knew it wouldn't be long till someone insulted Fred H. Car tires on cars/trucks are great. Last time I looked, I didn't see any car or truck going into a corner at 20 degrees lean (or more). Hence square/long life profile. I am SURE Honda engineers know a few more things than we do when it comes to designing motorcycles and tires for them. IF they thought a car tire was acceptable, your new Goldwing would have car tires on it. End of story.
