Just wondering how many of you have an SO that ride their own bikes? My wife will be taking the MSF Beginner course first weekend in Oct. I am excited to know she is taking the course and hope she does well......if she really wants to ride. She has filled out the paperwork several times but always chickened out prior to paying. This time..............she paid!:22yikes:

At least she will know after taking the course........if she really has the desire ride on her on or not.

My wife rides her own Honda Shadow Ace Tour.

Whenever we ride together, my Wing gets ignored and everyone loves her shadow. Very 50's looking but modern all the way.

My wife learned to ride on my 01 Road King, took the course and bought a Honda 750, then she had two VTX 1800's and now rides a 07 Yamaha Stratoliner S a real sweet machine.

I've had two of my own. My first was an '89 Pacific Coast, which I stupidly sold, the second was a '97 Rebel, which was just too small for me and got sold to help with the new-house renovation fund. :? One day I'll have my own ride again, maybe another PC800, maybe a Spyder, who knows?

My wife was riding her own bike before I started to ride in 1981. But since the kids came along, she hasn't been on a bike -- she sold hers, and doesn't ride with me. But she keeps her motorcycle designation on her drivers license (in Indiana), presumably for when the kids are grown and on their own ... if that ever happens.

I've been with my lovely bride since 1992 and she was on her own Goldwing when we met. She has been riding her own motorcycles since the mid '70s. She got her start on dirt bikes and gradually worked her way up to a GL1200 Goldwing in 1986. She is now on her 4th GL1200 and she loves them. In fact she won't ride anything else. In 1998 I let her use my GL1500 to ride with an old riding buddy of hers from Texas to California and back. When she got home she said, "I'll stick to my 1200". And she has. We bought her current bike, a pristine 1987 Aspencade, last Fall and now her 1986 Aspy is up for sale. I married quite a gal!

My wife's new (to her) '87 Aspy

My SO (actually my husband of 37 years) rides HIS own. Does that count? I've been riding since 84, with the current ride a ST1300A.

I just sold our 1200 a couple months ago! Only if I had known she was going to get her license. Nice bike.
