How many parts in a Goldwing? Anyone ever count every nut, bolt and plastic do-dad? (Yes, I know, different models, different years and all that;)).

It was said in 2001 that it has 26 parts less than a Civic. I'm sure that number was a rumor. Only Honda's bean counters know for sure.

Well, it's not a Wing, but maybe it will help put things in perspective...

But that is still far fewer parts than an entire Goldwing, as the OP asked.

Shameless Bump.:wrong::joke:

Any ideas, maybe a count of engine parts?

Ever wonder what it costs Honda to make a 1800?

We were told at a meeting, when they were first introduced, that the 1800 had more parts on her than our Civics. But we were never told the amount. FWIW, it takes about 65 minutes for a V-6 to go through the assembly line, naked block to completed engine. Approx. 110 associates slappin' on parts. (Highly skilled, I might add :joke:) Not sure about the 1800 engine. BB
