Me and Mr. no-shoulders do not get along...sorry, I know they have a place on earth, but...I'd be unloading about now......one round at a time.

WTF? You would LOVE to see that, huh? Why?

Snakes are beautiful and amazing animals. Just like anything else (lightning, electricity, insects, fire, car tires on motorcycles, etc.) if you don't understand and respect it, you fear it. Oh well.

I've had snakes my whole life. Had this one for 12 years. She now lives in Florida and is probably 20+ feet long and 250 pounds. I had her from a baby at 2 feet.

Here's a Columbian Red Tail Boa that I have now.

If I see a snake in the wild, I usually try to catch it and check it out, then release it.

Just like doing projects on my Goldwing, it's fun to get creative. Here's a snake cage I designed and built out of a tool cabinet from Lowes:

Hey, what to you expect! Steve Irwin (Crocodile Hunter) was one of my heroes.

To each his own, I guess.

I'm with Soloquest. I like snakes. Now, I probably would NEVER play with a King Cobra like that (but it WOULD be awesome to put your hand on its head!), but I would also not shoot it simply because it is a snake. While mowing my yard if I see a snake I slam on the brakes and let it get away. It bothers me when I don't see one and find its chopped up body on the next round. We don't have any poisonous snakes here, and I am continually amazed at the ignorant louts who kill every garter snake they see.

My wife also plays with the snakes she finds in her garden.

In High School we had a large football coach who turned into a simpering whimp at the sight of a snake a kid brought into history class. I thought that was the funniest thing I had ever seen! Here I was, a 100 pound soaking wet junior, LMAO at a 250 pound grown man peeing his pants at the sight of a 12" long garter snake! No, I wasn't the one who brought the snake in.

Shari & I once found a 12" garter snake that had been injured by a cow stepping on it. We took it home and gave it a home in an aquarium. One day it got out and into the furnace ducts. By the time I got it out it was so wild and unruly I turned it loose in the garden.

Another animal lover here.

I always stop when I see an animal in the road which leads to my store.

I was riding my wing and was stopped at an interestion making a right hand turn.
As I started my turn I looked down and there was a snake
sunning himself on the road. So being the animal lover I am I stop to get
it out of the road.

As I reach down to pick it up it strikes. Luckily it misses. Now I've picked up snakes
before and had them try and byte so this reaction didn't surprise me. Reach down
a second time,it stikes and misses again. So
now I take a second look at the snake. It is brown and has a triangler head.
From my days in school I know a triangler head is bad news.

Can't let it sit in the road and get run over so I decide to push it off the road with my boot.
That worked but it was pretty pissed off by the time it headed into the grass. Later I found out it was a copperhead.:eek:4:

Happy ending the snake and I both lived.

Snakes!! That reminds me - I have to do my taxes
How would you like to meet this guy in the campground? Are you talking the beautiful cobra or the idiot trying to pet it?:wrong::eek:4:
As much as I love snakes, they have their place in nature and do not deserve to be harassed like that by some idiot. We will bury him right next to Steve, the last Australian to think they can outsmart mother nature.

That brings up a good point - I wonder if like on survivor man they have to drink urine to keep from getting dehydrated?

Snakes are like guns. All guns are loaded, all snakes are poisonous.
I don't have a problem with snakes, normally I just leave them alone and we both go our separate ways. I do have a problem with the guy in the video. He needs to get his shot and get out. It's obvious the snake wants no part of his little ego game. Harassment!
Awesome. Thanks!
