A couple hundred for a spoiler, another 100 for a brake flasher, 200 for a luggage rack and 60 for a bag to carry your underwear on the rack, and that's just the very top of the back end. It just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy thinking how much I can spend on the rest of the bike. It will look great so go for it. Come back next week and we will be glad to help you spend that paycheck too.;)

I was told by some locals that I ride with that I had to ride at the back of the pack because my lack of a spoiler caused undue turbulence on the rest of the pack if I was anywhere close to the front..

MHO is its cool looking safety feature. Is on my wish list. Which is an estimated 483 items long.

Its only money and I would suggest spending it on the wing before our government spends it for ya

Just a farkle.

Buy the luggage rack and get the extra wide washers that distribute the weight more and there will be no cracking.

Buy back off lights for the rear brake lights. they flash and dance and the ones i have everyone is really impressed

In my opinion the Wing looks unfinished without the spoiler. Add the EC Run/Brake/Turn replacment lamp for it and you are stylin'.;)

I don't have one but it does make the bike look better... I agree it should be a standard feature.

I have considered buying one... but if I buy one, I'll have to buy two... can't do something to one bike without having to do it to the other... so, for now, it's a farkle I haven't gotten...

We add the spoiler to both of our bikes mainly for the extra brake light. It also just so happens to make the bike look great in my opinion and it makes for a good handle for raising and lowering the trunk lid.

Wayne and Karen,
Welcome to the board.:clap2:
As you can see asking for an opinion on something will definitely get you plenty of responses.:chat:
I agree with most that the safety factor of having an extra brake light on the back of the bike is a good reason to add the spoiler. I also connected a "Back Off" module to flash the brake light in the spoiler as an added attention getter.
Can't comment on the usefulness of the luggage rack as I don't have one.
Enjoy your bike and whatever you do, do it for yourselves.

When I bought my Wing I was told about the brake light function and since a friend had just been bumped a few weeks earlier on his HD Sportster, I figured a brake light at windshield level would add that extra safety feature that might avoid being bumped myself.

I added the EC 4 Function light 2 years ago because it not only has the brake light but also turn signals, running light, and emergency flasher functions included (plus I was the lucky winner at the HDL breakfast  )

I thank LEWIS everyday I ride for that FANTASTIC option he developed for the Wing - if I hadn't won it I would have been on the order list when it became available.

Dollars for safety equipment isn't farkle - that goes for the safety gear I wear when riding.

I put it on my bike because of the extra brake light. I was truely impressed with just how bright it was when lit. I also think it looks good.. I mounted the Kuryakyn trunk rack over it which unfortunately covers the look but it still has the best break light going

Hey Wayne! Welcome to the board!! Have to agree with all the other posts about never being able to have enough light on the back! It's a bright brake light, looks good and finishes off the tail of the Wing nicely! Again, welcome to the board to you & your wife and congrats on the purchase of a Wing!:congrats:
