Do you use ACC on your GL1800? (Is Headlight bulb life OK?)

I am wondering if my always usage of listening to music before and after every ride has been the source of my short life headlights. So, hopefully, I can word the questions right....

--- Normal headlight life for these 3:
* Use ACC all the time frequent OFF-ACC or ACC-OFF
* Use ACC all the time never switch past "ON" when leaving ACC
* Rarely use ACC

--- Short headlight life for these 3:
* Use ACC all the time frequent OFF-ACC or ACC-OFF
* Use ACC all the time never switch past "ON" when leaving ACC
* Rarely use ACC

My theory for short headlight life (6-8 months with 8K-13K miles before shattering the filament) is with my frequent switching between OFF and ACC. When I first get to the bike, I put the key in and got to ACC. I listen to music while I get ready to take off. The first thing I do when I park is go to ACC and listen to music when I put things away and the last thing I do is pull the key (ACC to OFF) and lock up. This flashes the headlights every time going through "ON". This "flash" cycle is what is shattering the filament.
