I have a friend who has a 1992 Shadow, 1100cc, with a drive shaft. Does anyone know if this bike can be towed on a motorcycle towing cradle, front wheel up in the cradle with the rear wheel on the ground. The question is whether the drive shaft would be damaged in some way?
Thanks in advance.............

TOWING A SHADOW

I WOULD NOT BE CONCERNED ABOUT THE DRIVE LINE AS MUCH AS I WOULD BE ABOUT THE TRANSMISSION. IF YOU HAVE THE FRONT WHEEL ELEVATED, NATURALLY THE OIL WILL BE FORCED TO THE BACK OF THE ENGINE WHICH WILL LEAVE THE BEARINGS TOWARDS THE FRONT SEEKING LUBRICATION. EVEN THOUGH THE ENGINE IS NOT RUNNING, THE OUTPUT SHAFT IS STILL TURNING WHEN THE REAR WHEEL IS MOVING. I WOULD PUT IT ON A TRAILER BUT THATS JUST ME. [/b]
