I'm likely to turn around southbound at Tillamook, then down to Yachats to basically take Hwy-1 all the way back home. Most of my loiter time (eg Fun Roads) will be going northbound...I'll try to post a map of the route.

Any recommendations for a campground between Bend and Tillamook?

I've spent some time at Cape Lookout State Park,on the coast not too far from Tillamook.

There is an overlook near the park you can hike out and look down on migrating whales.

There are several others on the coast that are nice campgrounds.
We spent some time recently in September in the RV at Beverly Beach and South Beach. Both are near Newport.

I'm a fan of Oregon State Parks.
What I liked about Oregon parks when I was moto-camping was the option of renting a yurt if the weather was bad
