I can't say that I am too impressed with the design of this unit. I put on the Add-On unit (copy of the Dauntless). The construction quality of the hitch is just fine. However, I not real impressed with the design. As that John guy from Bushtec keeps saying, the saddlebag structure was not designed to add a hitch to it. That said, I don't believe I will have any problems with it as the pulling, starting, and stopping forces are transfered fairly well (not completely) to the main frame. The tounge weight is all carried by the saddlebag frame. I can minimize that effect when I build my trailer through the suspension design and balance points. Oh if I were only rich and could afford a Bushtec <G>!
