I have a 2005 GL1800 and I also have Fred Harmon's DVDs and all the manuals (thanks to my dad who always had the manuals for everything he owned) and used them to get to the ECM under the shelter (it was the instructions for changing the air filter) but that's where it ends! I have taken out the 4 bolts that hold the ECM on that shelf type of bracket but I have yet to understand what my next steps are. I've tried looking for videos on YT for ECM replacement but there is little to nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions where I might get my hands on ECM removal info? Regarding the procedure after installation, I'll be using Stu's directions because as I understand he is to be trusted! As always.....Thanks guys!
