I was quoted 253.00 a year for my 01 yellow abs. Will this dog hunt?
I'm thinking it probably will. Anybody got a better deal?

NC Insurance - a scalpers game

Clean driving record (no tickets, no accidents, no claims in 20 years +)

Before 1st claim (engine case replacement from road debris)
2003 G1800 - 990.00 per year

After 1st claim
2003 G1800 - 1200.00 per year

NC is a regulated insurance state - to protect the consumer and all.
The rates are high on the first 3 years of a model, then forced to around 400.00 per year.

Gieco, Progressive and all the major players will not even quote in MC insurance in this state, I tried.

Now the good part is we really can ride year round here (minus the ice storm days).

AZ ... I paid $463.00 for 1 year. $500.00 dec

Nothing on my driving record.

Lots of geezer and snow turds here raise rates. Illegal immigrants cause a great deal of problems, high thieft rate of vehicles too

High rate of pedistrian accidents from basic stoopidity on the part of the pedistrians that walk out into traffic. I see this stoopidity weekly in down town Phoenix AZ.

Joggers seem to think they can cross a street at will, any where.

It is really difficult to compare anything when folks don't include their deductibles AND liability limits...

Hi JD:

Comparing rates from all over the country is pretty meaningless. Rates vary greatly from state to state, and even within a state.

I pay $325 for full coverage and 250 ded on my 02 with Progressive here in western Michigan, but I would bet my bike that across the state in the Detroit area it would be considerably higher. Your driving record, claims record, age, marital status, and many other factors can also influence your rate.

Look what those poor B...tards in the Peoples Republik of Massachusetts are paying! I hope you all remember that come next November when you have a choice between another MA liberal democrat, or GW for President. John Scary will tax your freaking socks off.

I would say the rate you got of $253 is very good, IF the coverage is good.

Progressive is hard to beat up here, but that doesn't mean they necessarily are in other parts of the country.

Your best bet is to compare rates with other bikers in your area.

Good luck.

Whoa, Big Fella!!!

It's "The People's Republik of Cambridge" (kinda like San Fran).....the rest of us feel like we're behind the Iron Curtain.
I live in a border town, and wish we could move the NH state line about 5 miles south!

Geez...Chappaquidic Teddy, Tank-Driver Mike, John F. Fonda.....
anyone ever hear of Bossy Gillis? Lord, we have crosses to bear!

High insurance rates must be our penance......

Attention Ron..In the "Peoples Republik Of Cambridge, MA."

Being about 10 years your senior, I remember the "Good Old Days" in MA.

I lived in Wellesley from 48 to 55. I went all through JHS and HS there. It was a wondeful place to live. Nice weather, beautiful country, and nice people. I hunted and shot my guns without interference from "do gooders". I built my Hot Rods, and had a ball. My folks regretted leaving but my dad was offered an engineering position here in MI, so we left MA.

Only God knows what has happened to your state. Unbelieveable and it makes me sick. I can only wonder who the hell are the people who have voted year after year for all those socialists and commies. They sure got what they asked for. Unfortunately, so did folks like you who now have to live under the thumb of their radical liberalism. :mad1:

Good luck. I hope you are able to get over the border. I am not sure NH is alot better politically, but anything is better than MA.

Take care. Ride the same way.

FYI

Those of you who are buying, or thinking of buying, your insurance through AARP, consider this.

AARP may be able to get your insurance cheaper, because they are getting a discount from the underwriter. However, they are making money by writing your policy.

They will then use some of that money to lobby and push for gun more controls.

AARP is rabid anti-gun, and would love to disarm everybody. Rifle, shotgun, pistol...all guns.

So if you believe in gun ownership. you might want to tell AARP to hit the road. I will have nothing to do with them for any reason, no matter what they claim to do for me or how many $$$ they say they can save me.

My freedom is more important to me than a few bucks saved here and there.

Up to you.
