Greetings.... I want to install an Ipod/Iphone using the earphone jack. I was told it could be connected to the connector in the left fairing cover. What I found is two connectors...they are in a bundle....one has a connector with two wires...Grn/gry and grn/blk-gry. The other connector has grn/gry, blk/gry, and white/gry. The manual shows "R', "W", and "S" for the "aux". Are these what I want??? How do I do the hook-up??? SS

You should have received a cable with your owners manual. It's an ipod cable with the standard 1/8" stereo jack. You plug the white connector end into the white connector socket under the left fairing pocket ( red connector is for the 12v accessory plug) and the stereo jack into your earphone jack on the Ipod.

Soniczar,
Ours has the little mini phone type jack. I'm not sure of the wire colors but the wife thinks the previous owner had it installed so it maybe not factory on our '02. Sorry I couldn't help ya here.

IF all you want is to listen to music then use the aux but if you want to use the phone you would have to figure out how to hook up a mike since the Aux connection is stereo only and you would not be able to listen to any radio other than the ipod in the phone.

You would need to visit this site and maybe call them to find out what you need to be able to make/recieve calls.

I mount my iphone on a half inch RAM ball mount under my Satallite radio using the mount below that you can find at http://wingman.com/gadgets.htm

I use a stylus like this http://tinyurl.com/c8v9rd
to answer the phone since it doesn't have auto answer and you can't slide it with gloves on.
