I have no idea where this is but it's from my Face Book feed. I like the front tires, can't tell about the back.

One of the riders from Alaska posted a few weeks ago and showed some pictures of the steel studs that he had inserted into his tires.

Those guys are true riding enthusiasts IMO.

Oh he will put gloves on before he rides! Obviously, just posing for picture or moving bike a few feet.

AKLDRIDER is the only one I heard of who regularly rides on snow... and he had to remove his front fender, in order to gain clearance for the tire studs and snow buildup, as I recall.

I notice that these guys have retained their fenders... Hmmm

Many years ago, we used to put bolts, washers and nuts in our off road bikes tires.
Had points ground on the bolts.
Then run them on lakes, rivers.

SALT ??? CORROSION ??? :eek:4:
Up in the far north they don't use salt the salt won't melt the snow if it gets too cold

Looks like a Heidenau front tire, often used on Adventure MCs Like the BMW GS or KTM...Probably using the rear as well....

Maybe they live in a place where it snows a lot, like Norway...
