Do you have other hobbies taking money away from the wing? If so what? I have a few other hobbies, stereo-home theater and wood working, but the GoldWing has been running the show for some time now. Motorcycles have been a hobbie of mine since I was a kid but I have never had one that I enjoyed as much as my 1800. Can you say Safety Chrome?

I live in a 90 year old house that needs some more remodeling.
I haven't touched it since I bought the bike almost two years ago.
I better get busy on that project soon!!

i wouldnt call the goldwing a hobby, more of an obsession. hobbies come and go, i have always had a motorcyle or two or three.

i have already invested in an unreal home theatre and sat tv, thats also not a hobby, but a basic need.

yes its all how you look at things. i have always had a hard fast rule, any motorcycle or other toys need to be paid for with sock drawer money, no loan obligations. then if times get tough, the toys can go to keep the family a float until a better time comes along.

computers, with weather satilite observation. My HRP remote just died, POLAR orbits are time consuming, the lightening detector works fine, with the weather station and Stationary GEO satilite dish over the equator. Doppler program is used only during good storms. Otherwise, ham radio a little.

Hobbies

I have spent many years doing woodworking, building furniture etc but since we started riding motorcycle 4 years ago have not touched a piece of wood.
Started out with a Honda Aero, traded it in on a Valkyrie within two weeks, then on to a 01 Wing and now a 04 Black Cherry on order.
Absolutely having a blast.

I am a true gadget guy and it depends on the time of year where my money goes. During the early winter I focus on home gadgets. This year I bought the IPOD ( I love it and I am going to use it on the Wing )and I got TIVO with a Sony DVD Burner. Man the combination cannot be beat. Now as better weather approaches the Wing gets most all my attention. I am so excited that spring is just around the corner and am gearing up for some serious trips to the mountains.

Well, I USED to play golf. But with course fees going sky high, I had to make a decision - ride the bike or play golf. So, for the last three years it has been ride the bike. I've just about got everything on it I want (and a LOT more than I need). But as I passed a course today, I thought, Nah! I'd rather ride.

My other hobby is/was Mustangs. Rebuilt, restored, worked on, showed, toured in classic Mustangs from 91 to 2001 then I got my Wing. Most of my money and time since then has been devoted to Winging it. Sold my old Mustangs and bought a 5.0 convertible to use as a driver. I still have a 66 Fastback in the garage that's my next restoration but I just can't seem to get to it - too much time spent on the Wing. I'll probably buy the new 05 when it comes out but that will be about the extent of my Mustanging. I really enjoy Rallys a lot more than I did Car Shows - there's a lot more to do.

Hobbies!!!

I have a 2000 Corvette that I drag race, autocross, cruise and show. But now that I have the Wing a do pay more attention to the Wing. To bring more excitement to both, I purchased a Corvette cargo trailer for the Wing painted the same color as the real Corvette, and I can pull the trailer with either the bike or the Corvette to cruises, tours, Corvette Museum and plant events, and Honda's "Honda Homecoming"! So this way I can use both with a common connection.
I do trade off in the summer and take them to work, as drive 25 miles to work to arrive at a National Park. :D :) :D :D
