While our house was being shown by an agent, I had to disappear for 2-3 hours Saturday morning. I turned down a weak invitation to join the wife and daughter shopping for a wedding dress. The boys were not available due to a fund raiser for the band at the grocery store. So I thought I would ride over to 29 Dreams MC Resort for their breakfast buffet. Just a short 15 mile ride, good food, and renew my membership. That was the plan. As I rode along, I started to think what a great day it was, and how a longer ride should be considered. When I got to 29 Dreams, I pulled in behind a fellow winger on a beautiful Candy Red. I introduced myself to him and his lady friend. Nice couple that will be leaving on a week long MC trip next week through Ashville, NC. Hope they have a wonderful and safe trip. Once inside, I ran into fellow board member Towmoter. He and his friend Eric (on a RK) and wife were deciding where to ride to for the day and invited me to join them.

Well, 250 miles later I was back home after riding through northeast Alabama around the Little River Canyon on some nice twisties and roads that were not on my 2610. I could kick myself for not taking my camera. The view is spectacular. This is definately a do-over for this fall when the leaves have turned.

Now, where am I going for lunch today?

How did I miss you at 29 Dreams? I got there around 9AM, had a front tire installed (and gourged myself at the breakfast buffet) and left around 10.

I was looking for an excuse to ride. I did take the long way home :). -- Glad you had a good trip.

Sorry I missed you, T. I got there around 1015 and the shop was closed. I did see a silver wing and thought you would be there, but it was an '05. If you don't have plans for tomorrow, call me.

Wife and I rode the Little River Canyon road a few weeks ago also. We too said "I bet this is beautiful in the fall". We're going back then for sure.
Rumor has it that some of the "Alabama' boys (the band I mean) live near there. Very unusual place being already eleavated and thena river and gorge like that.

Lots of nice scenery around there. Rode on over into Ft. Payne and had a meal. Cool area.
