With the Iway 500C, it has an audio output cord that will plug into the AUX cord on the 1800 wing? Is this correct? If mp3 music is playing, does the voice directions just play over the mp3 file? OR does the mp3 file stop while the voice is giving turn directions?

Can the voice prompts be turned off?

The iWay has a mini-stereo connector that the aux connector plugs into.

I was thinking the same question the other day of whether the music stops and restarts when voice prompts are playing, I'm not real sure. I don't think the music stops, I think it just mutes the music while the voice prompts are being played.

You can turn off the voice prompts so it does not interrupt the music.

The music output is actually paused when the unit gives a voice direction - if you're keeping tempo with a song, it can be a little discerning.

Thanks for the responses - that's what I expected. Since I listen to books on tape most of the time, won't be a real problem - now I can switch to "books on MP3".
