Hey everybody - I'll be attending a poker run in Iowa next Saturday. See below for details. The church sponsoring this is Spike's parents' church in her hometown. If anyone is interested in attending let me know. I know it's a long ride for some, so we've got space lined up for camping in Winthrop at Spike's parents' landscape business. There would be room for those with campers or tents. Fire pit ready for marshmallows. However, drinking would be prohibited (liability for their business and all). There are 2 parks nearby for camping as well.
What: Third Annual "Pew Ride" Poker Run: Sponsored by the Church of Christ United Winthrop
When: Saturday, July 13, 2013
Registration: 9 to 10 am
Who: Motorcycles & Collector Cars (departing at separate times, bike leave first 10:15 am)
Where: Fellowship Hall - 534 West Madison Street, Winthrop, IA 50682
Cost: $20 per bike
Multiple prizes including -First Place: One night at the Isle of Capri Hotel (Waterloo, IA) and 2 buffets
Route: see map attached; stops including in Balltown, IA (Breitbach's - the oldest restaurant in iowa (http://www.breitbachscountrydining.com) and Osterdock, IA.
