I will be in Las Vegas for a week, August 15 - 19. I am wondering about riding then, too hot? Looking to rent a bike out there and do some sight seeing. Any recomendations as to where to rent and what all to see.

It's going to be hotter than hell.

I'd rent something with 4 wheels and air-conditioning.

Vegas in summer

I tend to agree. It usually runs between 95 and 115 this time of year. I think your better off renting a Seadoo on the way to Lake Mead and enjoy the water. Only about 30 minutes from Vegas. But if you must go... you can go to Hoover Damn, Lake Mead, or visit many cool casinos. See if you can get the valets to let you park close to the entrance if you're on the bike.

Mandalay Bay has a very cool pool.

We were there 3 weeks ago on our wings .... 109 in the shade
Not very comfortable riding
We made a beeline for San Diego at 5 AM to beat the heat
Take a bus tour to the dam or rent a car and go to Zion Park

Rent the wing and enjoy the riding, its a little hot, but we don't have the humidity out here, make sure you see the Valley of Fire and the lake mead area, and if you get a chance hit southern Utah, you won't be sorry unless you miss it....
