Already have my first ride of 2007 done (and got a last ride of 2006 as well...)

Temperature of 39, light rain, and a 25-30 mph wind. I've had much better weather for my New Year midnight ride.

For a short portion of it, I was following an Illinois State Trooper. Could not believe that he did not notice the car that we met in the oncoming lane that did not have any headlights on. That was when I decided to get back home ASAP.

Anyway, Happy New Year everyone!

Maybe the state trooper was near the end of his shift.

I didn't think state troopers did anything other than traffic enforcement. He may have been en route to a crash where a lady had her face bashed in, but I can't see him knocking on doors anywhere.

our other ridin partners were not up for it ....their loss.
