OK, this may not be exactly a technical question, but here goes. I have just gotton off of a Vulcan Classic and onto my new '06 airbag. Love it! But now I am batteling something I never had to worry about on the Kaw. Lint! Seeme every rag, or paper towel, or whatever I try to use to wipe her down leaves lint EVERYWHERE. I suspect it is a combo of the lint and static on the plastic. Correct? It really shows up on the dark red.

What can I use that will not leave all this lint????

Thanks,

kg,

I use micro-fiber cloths and Honda spray polish to do my day-to-day cleaning and don't get the lint problems you are talking about. I get them at Costco, 16 in a bag for $9 something.

Microfiber cloths are lint free....inexpensive and washable...can be found at Home depot, Costco, Bed Bath and Beyond etc

They do not leave lint and do not scratch

Stay away from papertowels especially on pastic

Happy waxing and washing!

What I do is first go over the bike with a california dust rag and remove the excess dust from my Dk Red Wing then I use the BOM or Honda Spray cleaner and only use Micro Fiber Cloths to lightly wipe her down. One thing about Micro Fiber is be careful if you drop one and keep them clean because they pick up things that could scratch your bike. Don't ever use paper towels because they can and will scratch your wing. Here is a little more advice on the windshield. Use heat or peroxide to soften those bugs and then gently wipe them off and use plexus to polish your shield. It is easy to scratch and CANNOT be repaired. It is a coated shield. Don't ask me how I know.

Good Luck,

James
