Llano Coopers BBQ

Well, I finally had a chance to eat some Coopers BBQ in Llano. Very very good. Not sure what the crowd looks like on a Saturday but there was a line of about 50 people last Sunday after we finished eating. So if you're with the Texas Gathering you may want to arrive early to avoid crowed if plan on eating there. We were a group of 60 bikes that left Alamo Honda in San Antonio. We left at 9:am and ended up in Llano about 11:30. No line but the parking lot was about half full. It was perfect day for riding and my first time out North of Fredericksburg on 965, the road Enchanted Rock is on. We had a rider and his passenger down on the way back on 965. The passenger I think was OK but the driver hurt his leg. This all took place behind me so really do not have first hand info, just hear say. They apparently veered off the street on a corner and lost control. We all eventually ended up at Luckenbach, a lot of bikes with a band playing. From there I took the back roads from Boerne on 46 to 16 to 211 back to Laredo. Left that morning at 5:30 and rode around 570 miles and back around 7:30. I went from the lowest of 37 degrees to the highest at 84. Will be looking forward to the Texas Gathering.
I would have taken pictures but my first stop, I pulled it out and the battery was dead.:22yikes:

Didn't you say you did six hundred or so the weekend of the SA show as well? And a thou or so this weekend? I'm not worthy.
Not too many places to ride down here. So if I want to ride with a group or in the Hill Country I have to kill about 320 miles to do this. Thats the round trip from Laredo to San Antonio. I've been without a bike for about for about 25 years. I'm just making up for lost time.:p Hopefully I'll slow down, if not, I'm afraid I may end up with too many miles.
There is a group of bikes going to kingsland inn between Rivera and Kingsville this Friday the 3rd of April. You ought to slide by and say hello. They will leave san antonio about 9:30. see you there
Thanks for the invite but I'm heading up to Fredericksburg for the Texas Gathering this weekend. Kingsville is a nice little town. I did a one day ride for lunch a couple of months ago. Visited the Kings Ranch Store while I was there. Really neat store just lack the money to spend their. Let me know next time you do a ride so that we could hook up.
SMC,
If you liked your visit to the Ranch then you might like to eat breakfast there

Thats pretty neat. I'll put this in my calendar. This would make a good group ride if the weather was right.

Thanks
