Howdy Y'All ..
I am Loaded and Ready to head for Florida in the am ..
Yes I am loaded .. I had to pull one more drunk before the trip...
The Plan is leave at 4am in the am, arrive in Vicksburg MS spend a couple hours there at the Civil War Memorial.
Arrive in Mobile AL, spend a few hours there at the USS Alabama.
Arrive in Pensacola FL, spend the night.
Arive in Tampa FL on Sunday at noon, Spend a few days there visiting the mother In Law.
Then, we may head South, cut across and go up the East coast to daytona Spend the night there, then head through Jacksonville and on to Pensacola for a Wedding Saturday...
Then back home ..
That little detour cuts into the time Dax has to spend with her family ..
So .. I (being the Man of this House) may decide to Not take that route..
If we don't, It will be a decision that I made, not her .. 8)

About 3000 miles .. I mean Smiles ... 8)
Wish me well ..

Here are some pics of me loaded and ready ..
Do Not make fun of the Fat Beer Belly, Bald (but needs a shave) Head, or my Yeller Wing ..

You appear more loaded in the second picture than in the first. Are you laying in a crumpled heap behind the bike in the third picture?

Then what's there to make fun of?

Seriously, have a great trip and remember to tell your MIL her cooking is good, and she looks younger every time you see her.

If you like civil war things you will need more than a couple of hours at V.
I think it takes about an hour just to ride . Their is a 20 min movie at the start that is worth seeing befor you hit the tour . I think we were in about two hours and left wishng we had more time . I'm not that big on civil war things either .

I made it to Tampa...just over 1200 miles...
My Arse is sore .. I know now why people would take their prefectly good, new seats off and repalce them with the after market ones.
We had planned on 2 hours in Vicksburg, were there 4 hours at least.
Still didn't see it all...

Oh Yeah!!!
Nobody told me that once you get the Wing loaded down with all your gear, it would take some getting used to.
Had to learn to ride all over again, seemed a little top heavy.
But I managed, and had a Blast so far...
The USS Alabama in Mobile was just as I remembered her.
All of the Planes they had in the museum were damaged by Hurricane Katrina...
The P51 Mustang, Corsair, F14, and Blackbird were all in sad shape
along with the rest of them. (The Blackbirds nose pierced through the fuselage of another plane.)
Even a big truck that was inside was tumbled around and crushed.
The Hurricane came through the back of the building pushing all of the planes towards the front and out the hanger door.
Since the WWII planes can not easily be repaired, since the supply of parts is just about gone, this was very saddening.

Gotta Run,
MIL just cooked dinner, I'll need to choke that down... beer may help .. ha ha ha ..
