Same for me, I get a pressure point right in the middle of my forehead after a couple hours. My HJC IS-MAX fit perfectly once it wore in, but it aged out, so now I've got a new helmet that I can only wear for a few hours before it becomes painful.

I wish the shape of helmets wasn't so arcane. There are a few websites like lidpicker.com that might help, but finding the right combination of shape, features, safety rating, and styling is very hard, and many people have to resort to trial and error which is expensive.

@Gnarly Interesting advise.
Unfortunately as stated many times throughout this thread not all heads are round, I for example need a Long Oval helmet shape to match my long oval head shape.
If my head were nice and round like the soccer ball your technique may well work. The problem isnt size, which your technique might fix, it's shape.
Inflating a ball inside a helmet is going to make a larger, less well fitting ROUND helmet and not solve the root issue....needing a well fitting helmet designed for my Long Oval head shape.

Maybe in your case (and mine) a football would be the better choice.
