This may or may not be the right place to ask but I will anyway. On our Vtx1300 I have a XM radio run thru the J&M cb set up, the J&M seems fine its the xm radio that seems to have the problem. Currently it is run to the battery. There seems to be noise coming off the alternator. Is there some sort of filter that can be bought to eliminate this noise, and where is the best place to pick up the power. We did not go with the J&M setup with the Xm radio but rather the Delphi XM2GO so the radio can also be used in her truck.

I must agree with previous posters, Lewis is the man to talk to. Between the power line filter and a ground loop interferance isolator you should be able to eliminate all extraneous noise.

radio shack makes a ground loop isolator too ... pretty cheap.
