07 wing 1800 the low beams stopped working, checked fuse already I tried to wiggle the starter button to see if it was stuck, I then took out one bulb and I am not sure of the type or how to tell if it's burnt out any help would be great

That bulb is an HID , not the standard H7 bulb. Plugs into a transformer ballast that then either connects to the stock h7 connector or a dedicated wiring source.

To rule out the start switch as the problem, start bike and put in reverse. If lights come on, then it's start switch. If not, then check fuse and swap headlight relay with known working relay in relay stack.

For both of the lights to be out, it can be as simple as a blown fuse for the low beams.

FWIW, a couple years back, both my low beams did not work. Checked and found both burned out. Then I remembered the NASTY bump I hit earlier in the day. ..Also took out my two halogen PIAA (?) driving light bulbs...

Those HID bulbs can be a pain. Be sure to NOT touch the bulb part, ANY oil can ruin it. If you did touch it, wipe it with alcohol and cloth before powering it back up.

Switch with known good bulb. If it's still not working, switch to known good ballast.

There had been, on very rare occasion, I had BOTH bulb and ballast go bad.

High beam & low beam use same bulb as far as I know. The ballast supplies the needed power to brighten on high beam...I have 2-35watt ballasts for high beam, none for low beam.

The Ballast powers the Those H7-HID bulbs. (only way to test the bulb)

The Ballast (Usually stuck near the headlights) is the problem child. (They last about a year or two,depending on where you ride.)

The person that installed the HID system may have also installed a headlight cutout relay. You will need to find that modification and test it to make sure power is being supplied.

Replace both low beam headlight, as they seam to go out in pairs...

That depends on who/where you buy them from.

My system only use 1 ballast per high beam only...2 total. I have no relay harness or relay.

My Tundra also have HID from same vendor but, it's go relay harness and one ballast per bulb since my truck only use one bulb per headlight for high and low beam.

Some do use one ballast per bulb but, not all does.
