LAJ is back.

The hole or bore that the upper fork legs and bushing slide into. The "female part".

I am pretty sure the wear limits are in the shop manual, if someone has their copy handy. Mine is miles away right now.

Slider is the part onto which your fender and brakes are mounted.

To be clear, the parts diagram calls the fork lowers, CASE,L or CASE,R .... The bushing installed in the top of the CASE is called BUSH, SLIDER and the one installed onto the lower fork tube is called the BUSH, GUIDE....
The wear we are discussing occurs in the area of the CASE that the BUSH, GUIDE slides....

CASE cost are about $135.00/$173.00 depending on the side. Left is more expensive of course.

I replaced both of my sliders on my 03 at 168,000 kms because they were egg shaped and I could no longer shim the lower bushings to compensate for the wear.
