my 1998 chev S-10 that i tow my wing trailer is missing a lug nut,is it safe to drive with 4 lug nuts instead of 5 ? its not a normal lug nut so it will take a few days to get one..i need to drive the wing on the trailer about 100 miles for service..thanks i only do the speed limit and drive fairley slow..but i dont want a wheel coming off..

On a commercial truck, they will allow one broken stud on any axle except the steering axle. One brokens stud there will put you out of service. And they have 8 studs, not 5.

You just lost over 20% of your wheel capacity. Do what you think you need to do. Is that trip worth the risk? Tow it 100 miles for service? Don't it run?
