For those in the know, why is it that when I send a PM to someone it sometimes shows up in my sent box and sometimes in the outbox ? Why the difference . :?:
Not exactly, it goes to the BBS's mailbox where it sits until the recipient retrieves it. It's in the senders outbox until he does. The BBS "knows" what's happening because the messages are stored there. Both the sender and the recipient must log in to send or get PM's so it's easy to keep track of who got what. Delivery is just about instantaneous. What takes the time is for the recipient to notice he has a PM. Often, they never do. A good reason to set your profile so you get an e-mail message when you have a PMDon Swanburg said:He means that the message leaves your computer to go to your internet server.

Delivery to reciepient takes a little while.
Send yourself an email and monitor to see when it leaves and when you recieve it back.
