My current 2010 had 3 miles on it when I picked it up from the dealer about 8 years ago, and it now has over 183,000 miles. When I found out that I was going to have to keep my 2010 for many years longer than I ever expected since Honda stopped building full class Touring bikes; the sport tour "alternate" I bought last March kept me from hitting the 200K mile mark by now. But, this is the second GL1800 I put over 100K miles on and the third over 90K miles. I still hope to eventually hit over 300K miles on my 2010 with only 1/3 of my yearly miles being put on it. It would be interesting to see which bike hits 300,000 miles first.... my 2010 or my 2018.
220,000 miles on my 2006 gl1800 purchased on May 19,2006. Retired on Sept 17, 2017 when it was totaled by a pickup making a left turn. It was in perfect condition and had no plans on retiring it until then.
I am considering the purchase of a shoei Neotec helmet with a Sena 10U headset. The seller says that the battery only lasts 4 hours. I was wondering if you're able to replace the battery in the headset to allow for more listening time? Anyone have experience with this?
My wife and I ride a Honda Valkyrie, we mostly ride on long weekend trips and average about 12,000 miles each summer. Two years ago we had the opportunity to ride a 2004 Goldwing for a couple hours. I felt as though the Goldwing was by far the best handling, most comfortable bike I have ever...
Anybody still own their original 2001? I still have my yellow one, bought it April 27, 2001. I have owned it almost 19 years and put over 220,000 miles on it. Still looks and runs as good as it did the day I rode it out the dealership.
