So i bought some polk 651's they are 6 1/2 looks like the windshield bracket to raise and lower the shield is stopping me from putting them in.
Best remedy i can see is to cut a slot into that bracket to allow the speaker to slide in towards the side mirror.
What do ya'll think?

Best to check the depth first before cutting the slot to accommodate the speaker.

Usually the folks will carefully trim the speaker on the edges to fit. Much better than trimming the bike...

It's easy to just trim your speakers to fit. Line them up, with a yellow pencil or something mark them and just trim them up with a grinder or whatever. You don't need to be perfect and they're covered up in the end. Level 1 out of 10 for ease
