I recently installed some Cobra's I got off Craigslist.
They sounded Quite a bit better than stock but I was a little dissapointed that they were still so Hmmm I'm not sure how to say it. It wasn't exactly the sound I was looking for.
I had a Spare set of Headers off a Wrecked Bike and a piece of Pipe about the same size and a welding and went to town.
Ran strait pipe where the cats were and then cut all the brackets and such off the old Cats for mounting the covers too.
I finally got it all done and Man does it sound goooood.
I was figuring I would loose a little power due to less back pressure. WRONG.
It feels better as well as sounds better.
I ran her on up to 70 to see if there was a Drone. Nope. Just a nice little purr. Don't even have to crank the stereo up while cruising.
I could easily sneak through a quiet neighborhood in the morning and not disturb anyone. But Twist the wrist and WOOOOOO HOOOOO.
I bet torque loops do sound good too.

Just be careful going through those cities and towns where the noise abatement procedures are in effect:eek:4:  :joke:

We have noticed a nice change in ours as well since we had the stock pipes replaced with glass pacs during the CSC trike kit installation. ;);) Not loud, but nice.

Silverhawk, I have Cobras, they seem to be getting a little louder the longer I run them. I am not familiar with glasspacs on the 1800, is that just a trike thing? How bout a little more info. Thanks.....

Has anyone put one of these systems on a dyno with the bike stock and then with modifications to see if there really is any performance gain or loss.

Seat of the pants is famous for inaccuracy! And it would take a 7-10 percent gain to really feel it and that would be a phenominal increase in either horsepower or torque.

One guy did post up the increase on the dino.
I agree that seat of the pants is not accurate. But when you are expecting a decrease and then feel this

Its about the same as I feel after a Computer reset.
Not alot. More of a Crisper response from the throttle

Not sure if the glasspacs cause any change in the dynamics of the engine specs or not. Nor do I know if there will be much of a change later on since I haven't been able to ride much since the installation. They are a bit louder than OEM, but aren't bothersome. And the best part is that my wife likes the sound. :excited: As far as any changes to milage and other power aspects, I haven't had a chance to see any differences. Perhaps some more learned CSC owners can chime in on that.

CSC put the new mufflers on during the trike kit installation and I don't know if they have to make changes to the system or not. I'm sure they can be installed on any GL-1800 in you know something about that stuff. However, I'm not one of those folks. Maybe I should start learning more about that huh?;) Also, perhaps the CSC people could answer some of the technical question you might have.

I expected nothing less as response from you. Thanks for advertising your 'style' for the forum to see. Good job :yes1:

You should be more concerned with what the other board members think of a guy who searches for this type of shirt in the first place..
You come across that shirt looking for a free sample of Levitra?? :eek:4:

I'm betting you don't have a hair on your azz to wear your shirt into a Harley biker bar.:eek:4:

I'll personally donate $100 to this, anyone else in??
I'll even go as far as to ride up to see this event happen, and tape it for youtube..
I'm honest and I will personally hand you your collected funds as they roll what's left of you into the Whambulance.
I want in on this.
Besides seeing his azz gettin Beat , what else do we get out of this?
