Looks like he almost made it and then he couldn't get his eyes off the back of the truck.

He just chickens out.

He had it in nutral. Check

Got his rpms up. Check

Had it in second. Check

Let the rpms down too much before releasing clutch. Bad

Could have perfect mini wheelie from a slow roll.

Instead is a WTF panic back brake fail.

If he just would have went with it it and gave it a little throttle burst it would have been perfect mini wheelie.

It was none of the above. Look at the street. There were two cords stretched across the road. The first one got his rear tire out from under him and the second was under the front when he applied his brakes.

There but for the grace of God goes any of us.

Looks Greek to me. How come everyone else went over the cable / hose ?????
They were more square to the cable?

He was still accelerating?

I have to cross a cable in the floor of our bike storage facility 20 or so times a week on our training bikes, it is a squirrelly situation even hitting it perfectly square.

At least he was the last guy in the pack. The others didn't get to see it until they saw the video and didn't have to rib him on the street.
