Just wondering what everyone is getting for MPG, I'm thinking of buying a Wing, again, last one was 1983 and I dont remember much except that it was a great ride back then. Currently own a 04 VTX1300R/S which I plan on keeping but I still want another Wing. Trying to talk the wife into it. I also own a 82 Sabre that needs work to get it back to riding shape again. The MPG is not going to be the deciding factor, I'm still going to buy one no matter what it gets, just curious.

Thanks
Steve

My '06 wing gets about 40 @ 80. My '85 v65 sabre got about 45 mpg, but not as fun to ride as the wing, faster , but still not as fun. JMHO.

Inverse relationship to amount of wrist twist. Usually in the mid/low 40's. Once in a while a lot better :D and once in a while a little worse  .

Mileage

I consistently get 46-47 MPG riding primarily the twisties in north GA and west NC, east TN. That's according to the odometer. Don't know if GPS accuracy would make much difference.
The roads I ride dictate a lot of gear changes. I ride fairly hard, dragging pegs, etc. but top speeds seldom get over 65.

Who cares? Does it enter into the Buy/No Buy a Gold Wing decision?

20mpg or 60 mpg. Matters not.
I wanted a Gold Wing. Fuel mileage was never a consideration.

To some it is a curosity issue. To me, it is what it is.

Thanks for all the replies, and yes it is just the curiousity factor, still plan on buying a Wing anyway no matter what the MPG is.

With my 02 from Jan 04 to Sept 06 when I traded it for an 2006, I averaged 38.33 MPG pulling trailers, winter riding, windy days raining days, basically all the conditions you could find over a 2.5 year riding every day.
