On the left top axle looking from the back of the trike there is like a little cap like valve that goes up and down. Is that the breather valve. And does anyone ever find that is the cause of some leakage of rear lube fluid. Thanks in advance.

George P.? You there?
Yes that is a vent. If it is plugged it can cause the rear to pressurize and maybe blow a rear axle seal, but it shouldn't leak from that tube. :doorag:
Mine did leaked a little one time when I was going back to the installer which is a 160 mile run down interstate. I only had about 3,000 miles on it and he said that it might have been over filled at the factory from the start. It has not leaked since then and I have put about another 1200 miles on it.

Overfilling is most likely the cause. Vents are common on live axles.
My brand new Roadsmith trike sprayed gear oil all over the right side of the trike on the first highway ride (right vent mounting). Checked the oil level, and it was 1/4" below the fill plug. I removed the plastic cap from the vent, and installed a 5/16" fuel line leading upward 6" to a frame member, with a loop at the top. After riding the Texas hill country roads for a week, it did not leak a drop. Problem solved, Ken.
