It starts with the Law Ride in Washington D.C. on Mothers day week-end and here's the site: http://www.nleomf.com/NPW2009/npw_schedule_2009.html

This is a great way to HONOR our front line troops in the homeland who defend the "Thin Blue Line" of Law Enforcement Officers in OUR GREAT NATION,,, and it's a wild ride.......

Then it's the Americade in Lake George, NY at : http://www.tourexpo.com/data/

Visit their website and check out their "message board",,,, enough said....

Then it's the "New York City Suicide Run" by the Blue Knights II "Da Bronx" in New York City (A GREAT TIME, and GREAT RIDE through all five boroughs of NYC and you don't stop for a stop sign or traffic light,,, it's all escorted by NY's finest) at: http://blueknightnyii.org/events/suicide_run_flier_2009.pdf

If you want to see some crazy M------ F-----'s,,,,, this is the ride,,,, 22 years as a State Trooper and I can tell you that these guys in NY are "nuts".....

That's what's on our plans (other than several local rides,,,, and a couple of long week-end trips when the ol lady can get the time off for) so far. Anyone interested,,, I still have two rooms booked with no-one committed for the NY Suicide Run,,, If interested send me a PM. Al :yes::yes:

I know what you mean,,,, but unfortuntately I think that you've got me confused with the "other Al Green",,,,, :coolit: ,,, who I believe does not ride a GoldWing (I maybe wrong)..... At any rate,,, I'm tone deaf and can't even sing "happy birthday" on tune...... But I can ride my Wing like there's no tomorrow...... Join me on a ride Steve:biker:,,, I'de love to meet you....Al :yes::yes:

Steve,,,,, I see that you're from Kennesaw, GA,,,, are your near Kennesaw Mtn.????? The site of the civil war battle????? If so I'd love to come down there and visit the site...... If you look at the post titled "Planning Trip" on this board you'll see that I'm a Civil War NUT..... I'd like to "pick you brain" about the area,,, although I don't know when the ol lady will be able to get the time off for a ride down your way..... I want to take her to TN. and hit the Chattanoga/Chickamagua,,,, Dollywood,, Pigion Forge,, and battle of Shilo areas this year (if she can get the time off),,,, as well at the "tail of the dragon".... But maybe next year in early spring (It's about 25 degrees outside right now,,, here).... We should stay in touch... Thanks... Al :yes::yes:

Yes, I'm very close to Kennesaw Mtn. Battlefield Park......bout 5 miles away. My wife hikes it often. Me not so much. I dig the civil war era, and could show you some interesting sites, and maybe a tell you a few tales! Glot some great rodes down here. Ride the Dragon yesterday. Got my picture taken to prove it.......http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/orderpage.aspx?pi=0HH600Y7050045&po=45

So come on down, and we'll have a blast. It was a whole different Civil War from down here I think you'll find. Maybe you know that already?

Check the Georgia board....we got lots of stuff planned for riding our great roades. Hopefully you can make one of them. Even the "Smokey Mtn Ride" ......that will be a big event. Check it out... maybe you can come down for that and we can shake hands, and have a toast!

 O.K. Steve,,, I'll check it out if you tell me what the "Georgia Board" is??? I did tell the wifey pooh that I want to get down your way this summer,,, but she has to worry about getting time off of work. That's the nice thing about being retired,,, I can go anytime I want. I want to do "the dragon" and hit Dollywood/Pigion Forge as well as the Mtn.

Dave,,,, we go down on Fri. and pig out :chef2: at the American Legion in Fairfax,,, always a great meal and cheap. Then on Sat. we do the tourist thing in D.C. all day. We stay at the Quality Inn in Falls Church,,, and on Sun. morning they give us an escorted (no stopping for traffic lights) run to the stadium parking lot. Always a great time,,, even if it rains.
